遅ればせながら、あけましておめでとうございます。今年もどうぞ宜しくお願いします。年末年始はワシントンDCへ行ったり、シカゴへ行ったりして慌ただしく過ごしていました。そして料理中に割と思いっきり左手の指を切ってしまったことなどもあり、しばらくブログから遠ざかっていましたが、やっと今落ち着いてパソコンに向かうことができました。
クリーブランドはすっかり冬で、来る日も来る日も雪が降っています。日によっては路面状況が極めて悪く、雪道での運転したことがない私は毎日家に籠り切りです。出掛けられなくてつまらないなあと思いつつ、焦りは禁物。少しづつ無理が無いように運転に慣れていきたいと思います。
この週末は久しぶりに太陽を見ました。とても嬉しくなりました。最近の楽しみと言えばお酒を飲むことと（雪見酒ですね。）編み物をすることぐらいですが、これから少しづつクリーブランドの冬の楽しさ発見していきたいと思っています。
A belated New Year's greetings to all my friends and readers. I know I have fallen behind on my blog, but I have not had much time to write my blog because I have been busy with my trip to Washington D.C. and Chicago during the holiday season. Things are over now, and I finally found a bit of time to face my Mac.
Cleveland has been totally covered with snow. Snow falls almost everyday. The road conditions are pretty bad, which forces me to stay at home because I am not yet able to drive in the snow. I need to start practicing winter driving little by little, so I don't have to stay at home all winter. I'll have to give it a try!
This weekend was sunny, and I saw the sunshine for the first time since the first snow. Somehow it seems easier to do activities when the sun shines even with snow on the ground. Activities I enjoy the most and can do I can do inside are crocheting and drinking so far. I will have to discover some other enjoyable activities to enjoy in Cleveland from now on.
